Steven Arthur Backhaus was born on June 1, 1966 in Mpls., son of Delmer “Del” & Nancy (Negus) Backhaus. He lived in Brooklyn Park until age 13, when his family moved to Rogers. He graduated from Elk River High School in 1984. He was employed as a master plumber at B & D Plumbing & Heating in St. Michael where he worked for 13 years. He died Jun 20, 2006.
Survivors include his wife, Doreen of Big Lake; children, Kaylin and Cory at home; parents, Delmer “Del” & Nancy Backhaus of Becker; siblings, Pat (Jaime) Backhaus of St. Michael and Stacy (Paul) Berning of St. Michael.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Henry & Emma Backhaus and Arthur & Sadie Negus.
