Charles Alderson Jr., 57 of rural New Castle died Monday in Ball Memorial Hospital in Munice following a brief illness. A resident of New Castle most of his life he retired from Chrysler Corporation in 1988 after 30 years of service. He was born February 1, 1942, in Morehead, Kentucky. A son of Charles H. and Olive (Reynolds) Alderson. He is survived by his wife, Darlene (Williams) Alderson whom he married September 11, 1964; two daughters, Faith Ferrell and Dawn (husband: Jeff) Owens both of New Castle; two stepsons, Duane Benbow and Kenny Benbow (wife Judy) both of New Castle; four grandchildren; his mother, Olive Ferrell of New Castle; a brother Lloyd Alderson (wife Wanda) of Marion; two sisters Violet (husband Jerry) Origer of Gallatin, TN., and Anna (husband Jerry) Lawson of Bucyrus, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his father; his stepfather, Coleman Ferrell and a sister Betty Lenz. Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, August 26, 1999 at Macer-Hall Funeral Home with Rev. David Livingston officating. Burial will follow in Green Hills Memory Gardens.
