One of them could have been Jacob Chance (1825-1849) who is buried in the Old City (or Pioneer – Cameron) Cemetery where a William Chance is also buried. There are two unmarked graves between Jacob and William. James and Sarah Ann Chance could have been removed from these places in this cemetery when they were reinterred [on 12 December 1935] in the Texas State Cemetery in Austin, Texas.
