Born Celia Calamaco de Gonzales on April 6, 1928 in Villa Acuna Coahuila. She died Thurs 10-29-2015 at Scott and White Memorial Hospital in Temple, TX. She married Ignacio Garcia Acosta Sr. on Feb 21, 1949. They wanted to make a better life for themselves and their children, so they came to the United States in 1950. They moved to various towns in South Texas until they found a place they would call home, Lampasas. Celia was a dedicated housewife and mother. She raised 6 children; Juanita Jass, Estella Morua, Leticia Medina, Cecilia Salazar, Jose Acosta and Ignacio Acosta Jr. She loved being a Mother, she will always live in the hearts of those who loved her so.
15 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren also survive.
Rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. Fri 10-30-2015 at Sneed Funeral Chapel. Mass of Christian burial will be held on Sat 10-31-2015 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Lampasas with Father Pedro Castillo officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
