BARNETT, Lanie – {from Johnson} Lany Barnett, the little daughter of F.P. Barnett, died yesterday morning and was interred in the Shady Grove cemetery this evening.

Lanie Barnett, ten year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F.P. Barnett, died at her home one half mile east of Johnson on Monday, April 9, 1900 of spinal meningitis. Lanie had been sick more than two weeks but not dangerously until within three of four days before her death. She was greatly loved by all who knew her and a great favorite among her school friends. She leaves a father, mother, sisters, relatives and a host of friends to mourn her.
