Our beloved leader, Willadean Manes, 90, of Batavia, went to meet her Lord and Savior on Monday, March 18, 2024, at Berryville. Willadean was born to Noel and Gay Farmer Smith on January 13, 1934, at Vendor.

She grew up in the Vendor Community and lived in that area most of her life until she moved to Kansas City, Missouri, to work. There, she met and married Odell H. Adams, in 1953. They had two lovely daughters together before his passing in 1967. Later, she married William D. Adams, where they added a handsome son to their family before Donley's passing in 1976.

Later in life, Willadean married Frank T. Manes, who passed away in 1988. Many memories were made with family and friends attending church camp meetings, going camping, working in the garden, making and quilting quilts, and crocheting. She enjoyed going to garage sales, thrift stores, and visiting with family and friends.

She was a true lady who loved to show God's love. Her smile was infectious, and you could see love shining in her eyes. She was a true example of how to have a close relationship with Jesus and encouraged all those around her to do so. A prayer was always in her heart for family and loved ones.

She is preceded in death by her husbands, Odell Adams, Donley Adams, and Frank Manes; parents, Noel and Gay Smith; a daughter, Pamela Frazier; three sisters, Wanda Smith, Jessie Hudson, Irene Smith; and granddaughter, Ericca Braswell.

Surviving Willadean are a daughter, Lutricia Baker of Berryville; a son, Keith Adams of Fair Grove, Missouri; six grandchildren, Nancy High (Josh) of Berryville, Derrick Braswell (Tiffany) of Alpena, Jeffrey Adams (Ashton) of Green Forest, Karley Adams of Greensboro, North Carolina, Monica Napier (David) of Monticello, and Casey Gusoskey (Jarred) of Nixa, Missouri; 13 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Betty Harris (Clayton) of Berryville and Glenda Smith of Berryville; as well as many other relatives and friends who will miss her greatly.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 21, 2024, at Holt Memorial Chapel in Harrison, with the Rev. Tollie J. Sutterfield officiating. Interment will follow at Maplewood Cemetery under the direction of Holt Memorial Chapel. A private family visitation was held to honor Williadean's wishes.

Memorial donations may be made to Batavia Assembly of God, 7883 Highway 392 West, Harrison, AR 72601, The Stroke Foundation, or Arkansas Hospice.
