She was born August 17, 1949 in Oxnard, CA. to Roy and Edna Sutton Swanson.
She was preceded in death by her father.
She was a long-time active member of Black Oak Church of Christ. Previously employed at Campbell Soup, part-time at J.C. Penney and part-time at Eichler Williams Insurance Company. She was a member of the Prairie Grove Riding Club. She had many hobbies, her last being “Cathy’s Chickens”. She was affectionately called “memaw” by her grandkids and “Kathy” by family and friends.
Kathy is survived by her husband, Jerry Bailey of the home; her mother, Edna Swanson of Springdale; sister, Barbara Clark and husband, Jim of Canyon, TX.; her children, Pam Hutchens and husband, Troy of Summers; John Bailey of Fayetteville; Gwyn Gregory and husband, Rick of Winslow; and David Bailey and wife, Lavon of Winslow; ten grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren, with one on the way.
Graveside services will be at Brentwood Cemetery at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, April 18, 2015 with Darren Vaughn officiating under the direction of Beard’s Chapel.
