Clara W. Adams, 65 of Roanoke passed away Thursday, July 16, 2015. She was born May 24, 1950 to the late Charles and Mary Welton. She was also preceded in death by a brother and sister; Jeanette and David Welton. Clara was a 1968 graduate of Lucy Addison High School. She was a devoted Christian Lady, a lifelong member of Hill Street Baptist Church where she served with the Senior Choir and the usher Board. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Lylburn Adams, sons; Travis Dennis of GA, Marus Dennis (Linda) of Suffolk, VA, one daughter, Nicollette (Isiah) Dennis of Texas, siblings; Bernice (Willie) Glasby of Hampton, Floyd (Connie) Welton of Roanoke, Charles Welton, and Carolyn (Jack) Burwell of Roanoke, 5 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and many friends. A Funeral Service will be held 11:00AM Saturday, July 25, 2015 at Hill Street Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Williams Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Friends may call at Serenity Friday, 12-8PM for Viewing.
