Annita D. Albers, 75, of San Marcos, Texas passed away on May 23, 2016. She was born May 28, 1940 in Springfield, Colorado to Leslie and Leone (McEndree) Van Campen. She married Larry Albers in Springfield, Colorado on May 22, 1960 and before his death in 2013, they were blessed with 53 years of marriage.
In 1970, she and Larry moved to San Marcos where Larry began his 43 year career at Tuttle Lumber Company. Annita was President of the Kids of the Kingdom Council at First Lutheran Church in San Marcos, where she was a very active member. She volunteered much of her time to helping members of the church and the local community.
Annita is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Larry Albers (2013). She is survived by her daughter, Priscilla Cost and husband, Chris of San Marcos; granddaughters, Caitlin and Cristen Cost and the Cost family.
A memorial service will be held Friday, May 27, 2016 at 1:00 P.M., at First Lutheran Church of San Marcos, with the Rev. Tim Bauerkemper officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Lutheran Church of San Marcos, 130 W. Holland St, San Marcos, TX 78666.
