BARRYTON -- Eugene W. Ayers, 51, Barryton died in Florida March 25.
Ayers was a former Mecosta County deputy and also owned the Diamond Lake Resort.
Born March 2, 1916 in Plainwell, Ayers is survived by his wife, Teresa; three daughters, Mrs. Lois Jean Henderson, Mrs. Sharon McQueen and Mrs. Rose Brinkley; one brother, Orley; one half-brother Clarence and five grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 30, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Remus, Rev. Edwin Schmelzer officiating. Burial will be in Flake Cemetery in Barryton.
