Mrs. Bettie Ambrose, wife of James Ambrose, died Tuesday evening at her home at Rude's Hill, 2 ½ miles south of this place.
Several weeks ago she was taken to John Hopkins Hospital for an operation. Upon examination her trouble was found to be cancer of the stomach, which was beyond medical aid.
She was a consistent member of the Methodist church in this place.
She is survived by her husband, five sons, and two daughters.
Her funeral was held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock, services being conducted by her pastor, Rev. W.E. Miller. Interment was in the new cemetery.
