Mrs. Rujina S. Amash
ELON COLLEGE -- Mrs. Rujina Sadan Amash, 68, of Misenheimer, formerly of Elon College, died Friday in an Albemarle hospital following one week of illness.
A native of Palestine, Mrs. Amash was the daughter of the late Odeh and Nur Wahab Sadan. She was the wife of th elate Rev. Jiries Joseph Amash, who died in 1965, and was a member of the Anglican Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Elias Amash of Grand Rapids, Mich., and Mrs. George Salfiti of Burlington; six sons Joseph Amash and P h i l i p Amash, both of Burlington, Prof Paul Amash of Misenheimer, a former faculty member at Elon College, Peter Amash of Los Angeles, Calif., Andrew Amash of Huntington, Pa., and Milad Amash of Jordan, Jerusalem; 42 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
Final rites will be field Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at Elon College Community College. The Rev. Thomas R. Hamilton, pastor, will conduct the service Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
The body will remain at Rich and Thompson Mortuary in Burlington until taken to the church to lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service. Visitation will begin Sunday morning at 10 o'clock, and the family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday night from 7 to 9 o'clock.
