A native of Granville County, the son of the late Frank and Ruth Walters AIKEN, he was a member of Tally Ho First Baptist church and was employed as a Detention Sergeant with the County of Granville.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Eakes Funeral Chapel in Oxford by the Rev. David Pryor and the Rev. Joyce Odom. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
Surviving are his wife, Deborah Jones AIKEN, of the home; two daughters, Michele P. Angell, of King WILLIAM, Va., April P. Adkins, of Quinton, Va.; a son, Doug Pendergraph Jr., of Bahama; a sister, Everlena A. VanHook, of Henderson; six grandchildren.
