Gene D. Hamlin, 61, of Alma, Arkansas died Wednesday, April 25, 2001, in a local hospital. He was the owner of Hamlin Wholesale Furniture and a member of Butterfield Assembly of God.

Funeral was held at 1 p.m. Saturday in Butterfield Assembly of God with burial at Steward Cemetery in Alma, Arkansas under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, Arkansas.

He is survived by his wife; a daughter Kymberly Ann; a son; two sisters; two brothers; and four grandchildren.
