A native of Buncombe Co., Mrs. Dockery is a daughter of Lestie Ledbetter Marlow and the late Donald Eugene Pack. She was also preceded in death by her son, Scotty Redman.
Mrs. Dockery loved arts and crafts and loved music, particularly country and gospel music. She loved people, and never met a stranger.
In addition to her mother, Mrs. Dockery is survived by her daughter, Sonya Dockery; sons, George Campbell and Michael Dockery, Jr.; sisters, Vonda Joyner and Lisa Maltry, all of Asheville; aunts, Wanda Thomas and Wanna Miller; and four grandchildren.
A funeral for Mrs. Dockery will be Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Groce Funeral Home chapel on Patton Ave. Interment will follow at Clark Cemetery, Canton.
