Martha "Mattie" Barnes was the first wife of Thomas Clingman Clubb and the mother of:

Martha died in The Spanish Flu pandemic that lasted from January 1918 to December 1920,spreading even to the Arctic and remote Pacific islands. Between 50 and 100 million died, making it one of the deadliest natural disasters in human history. Martha left 5 small children.

Ada Mae Clubb b.13 May 1921 d.16 May 1921, buried beside Martha "Mattie" Barnes is the daughter of Thomas' second wife Matilda "Mattie" Grooms. Ada lived only 3 days.
