Alberta Eva Antoine, 88, of Clarks Summit, died Sunday evening at Lackawanna Health Care and Rehab in Olyphant.

Born in Chinchilla, daughter of the late Herbert and Eva Alberta Miller Antoine, she attended Fleetville Baptist Church, Waverly Baptist and, most recently, Lake Sheridan Bible Chapel.

Alberta was a woman of strong faith, loved to sing church hymns and especially looked forward to playing bingo. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Surviving are four brothers, David Antoine and his wife, Janice, Fleetville; Donald Antoine, La Plume; Richard Antoine and his wife, Carrie, Milroy; and Edward Antoine and his wife, Brenda, Dalton; two sisters, Lillian Perry, South Carolina; and Frances Edwards and her husband, Lynn, N.Y.; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a brother, Herbert Antoine, Jr., Nicholson; and three sisters, Emma Jean Cucura, Wanita Stanton, and Glenda Major, all who lived in Factoryville.

The family would like to express a special thank you to her niece, Cindy Miller, and the entire staff at the Lackawanna County Health Care and Rehab Center for their kind and compassionate care.

A memorial service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. from the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home and Cremation Service Inc., 418 S. State St. Clarks Summit, PA 18411. Interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family at Miller Cemetery, Scott Twp.

Friends may call Saturday from 10 until time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lackawanna County Health Care and Rehab Activity Fund, 108 Terrace Drive, Olyphant, PA 18447.
