Clara May Adams

Of 1648 Pleasant Valley Blvd., died at 2.45 p.m. yesterday in the Altoona Hospital. She was born April 15, 1887, a daughter of John H. and Sarah (Coughenour) Jennings, and married Levi Adams, who died Nov. 30, 1965. Surviving are three sons, Samuel D. of Greenwood, Raymond F. of San Francisco, Calif., and Ralph H. of San Leonard, Calif.; five grand children and two sisters, Mrs Rachael Bank of Livermore, Calif., and Mrs. Margaret Manke of Pittsburgh. Mrs. Adams was a member of the Greenwood EUB Church. Friends will be received in the Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Juniata, after noon Sunday.




ADAMS—Services for Mrs. Clara May Adams of 1648 Pleasant
Valley Blvd. will be held at the Mauk and Yates Funeral Home,
Juniata, at 2 p m. Monday by the Rev. Charles R. Murray. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery. Friends will be received at the Mauk and Yates Funeral Home after noon Sunday

Samuel D. Adams 72, of 1648 E. Pleasant Valley Blvd., Greenwood, died at 9 p.m . Wednesday, March 26, 1980, in Walter Reed General Hospital, Washington, D.C., following
a brief illness. Mr.Adams w as employed as a courier for the Hollidaysburg Trust Co. and as a security guard for the Juniata Packing Co. He retired as a technical sergeant in the Air Force in 1967, after 23 years’ service. He was born Aug. 15, 1907, in Greenwood, the son of Levi and Clara Mae (Jennings) Adams, and March 14, 1946. in Winchester. Va., married Emerald Schalles. Surviving are his wife, a daughter, Mrs. Linda Martin of Greenwood, a granddaughter and two brothers, Ray and Ralph of San Francisco, Calif. Mr. Adams served In the Navy for three years during World War ll in the South Pacific, and served in the Air Force in Korea and Vietnam . He was a member of the Bernard Good Post Juniata VFW and Gresham Lodge F&AM, Gresham , Ore. Friends will be received from noon to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m . Sunday and 1O a m. to 2 p.m . Monday in the Mauk & Yates Funeral Home,Juniata.


ADAMS — Services for Samuel D. Adams of 1648 E. Pleasant
Valley Blvd., Greenwood, will be held at 2 p.m . Monday in the Mauk and Yates Funeral Home Inc., Juniata, by the Rev. Gilbert Bender. Interment in Alto Reste Park. Friends will be received from noon to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m . Sunday and 1O a.m . until time of services Monday in the funeral Home.
