— SELINSGROVE — Mary M. Bickhart, 93, of 109 N. High St., entered into eternal rest on Sunday afternoon, Dec. 26, 2010, at SUN Home Hospice Care Center, Sunbury.
She was born April 13, 1917, in Selinsgrove, a daughter of the late John Frank and Ida (Mengle) McFall. On April 20, 1935, she married Charles "Jack" Bickhart, who preceded her in death on July 15, 1981.
She had been employed by Dutch Pantry/Kemberling Foods, retiring in 1987.
Mrs. Bickhart was a member of Sharon Lutheran Church, Selinsgrove.
She enjoyed family gatherings, sitting on her back porch and playing cards.
She is survived by one son, Dale E. Bickhart and his wife, Diana; two sisters, Kathryn Sampsell, of Selinsgrove, and Helen Anderson, of Shamokin Dam; seven grandchildren, Gail Nace, of Selinsgrove, Glen Bickhart, of Middleburg, Bonnie Hoover, of Port Trevorton, Leslie McGlynn, of Hummels Wharf, Jodie Stauffer, of Selinsgrove, Penny Weir, of Selinsgrove, and Heather Hays, of Mobile, Ala.; 11 great-grandchildren; son-in-law, Robert Umstead; several nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; dear friend and neighbor, Darlene Soder; and many compassionate caregivers.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Mary L. Bickhart in 2000 and Sandra B. Umstead in 2005; one son, Charles O. "Charlie" Bickhart and daughter-in-law, Ruby (Scholl) Bickhart in 2005; four brothers, John McFall in 2003, George McFall in 1999, Richard "Bud" McFall in 1992 and James "Jim" McFall in 1991; three grandsons; one great-grandson; and one great-granddaughter, at birth.
Friends and family will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the V.L. Seebold Funeral Home, Selinsgrove, followed by the funeral at 11 with the Rev. Wayne C. Muthler officiating.
Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Freeburg.
