Chester Lee Adair of Philadelphia, PA passed away on Tuesday August 9, at Fairview Care Center in Glenside, PA after a long illness. He was 83 years old.

Chester, originally from Harrisburg, PA was a member of First African Baptist Church in Sharon Hill, PA.

Mourning his passing are his daughters, Lynndell Adair-Clifton and Cheryl Adair-Wilkins of Philadelphia; son Richard Adair of Harrisburg; brothers, Maynard and James Tabb of Harrisburg; sisters Ella Irby and Ernestine Burns of Harrisburg; Melissa Henry of St. Louis; Mabel and Nellie Tabb of California; and a host of grand and great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Services for Chester will be held at Hooper Memorial Funeral Home in Harrisburg on Thursday August 18, 2011. Viewing is at 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m with services held at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at William Howard Day Cemetery.
