80, of Northridge, passed away Monday Dec. 29, 2008. Sam was born in Pine Knot, Kentucky on June 22, 1928. He was co-owner & operator of Brownies Barber Shop. Sam was a charter member of the North Dayton Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War & was a member of American Legion Post #746. Preceded in death by his brothers, Jake & Bill. Survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Elma B. Adams; 3 daughters & sons-in-law, Debbie Hill, Donna & Norman Mullinix, Sharon & Scott Nicholson; son, Steve Adams; 5 grandchildren, Kelly, Kiel, Erin, Jack & Brittany; sister, Rochelle Fagan; brother, John Adams; numerous nieces & nephews. Funeral service 1:00 p.m. Monday, Jan. 5, 2008, at the GEORGE C. MARTIN FUNERAL HOME, "North Dayton Chapel", 5040 Frederick Pike at Needmore Road. Pastor Jim Williford, officiating.
