Jennie A. Abell, age 86, of 132 Laquineo died at 4:10 p.m. Sunday, March 21, 2004 at Blanchard Valley Regional Health Center.

She was born March 4, 1918 to Edward L. and Mary E. (Ferrell) Newhart in Findlay. She married Donald L. Abell on October 24, 1936 and he is died October 10, 1988. She is survived by one son, one daughter, six grandchildren, and fourteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Mrs. Sondra Pickens two brothers, Harry and George Newhart, three sisters, Sara Nye, Esther Snyder and Blanche Burlingame, and one grandchild. Mrs. Abell had retired from National Automotive Fibers. She was a member of the Senior Center, Women of the Moose No. 362, former member of the DAV, and volunteer for elderly nutrition.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 26, 2004 at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Darrell Ramsey officiating. Burial will be at Knollcrest Gardens, east of Findlay. Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to First Assembly of God, 124 Ash Avenue Findlay, Ohio 45840 in her memory.
