Mr. David Ulbert Aliff, Sr., age 76, of Acworth passed away Friday, December 11, 2015.
Mr. Aliff was born in Welch, West Virginia, on November 28, 1939. He was the son of the late Ulbert Lee Aliff and the late June Morgan Aliff. Mr. Aliff was a veteran of the United States Army and was retired from the concrete industry.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Homberg Aliff; a grandson, Alex; a brother Doug Aliff; and an infant sister, Peggy Jo Ann Aliff.
Survivors include two daughters, Debbie Mimms of Acworth and Connie Browning of Glensdale, WA; five sons and two daughters-in-law, David Aliff, Jr. of Acworth, Chris and Susan Smith of Norcross, Chuckie Dewberry of Glen Burney, MD, Johnny Aliff of Temple and Joey and Sabrina Aliff of LaFayette; four sisters and one brother-in-law, Carol and Ernest Wheaton of Ormond Beach, FL, Pat Blankenship of Salisbury, NC, Shirley Aliff of Indianapolis, IN and Edna Thomas of Franklin, IN; one brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Betty Aliff of Brownstown, IN; nine grandchildren, Allison Mimms, Tiffany Allen, Ashley Smith, Michaela Browning, Matt Aliff, Davi Ellen Sellers, Hannah Dewberry, Josie Aliff and Blakely Williams; seven great grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, December 16, 2015, at 11:00 A.M. from Hutcheson’s Memorial Chapel with Rev. Tom Russell officiating.
Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Bremen, Georgia.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M.
