Rites For Mrs. Zanah Adams To Be Held Saturday
Funeral services will be held in Lakewood Saturday at 3 p.m. for Mrs. Zanah K. Adams, 51, former Painesville resident who died at her home in Cleveland Wednesday.
Born in Painesville Feb. 18, 1892, she had lived here until she was 13 years old when her family moved to Cleveland. She attended Cleveland schools and was a member of Epsilon Sigma Alpha sorority.
Her business career started when she was employed at the Old Guardian Bank in Cleveland. In 1916 she was associated with the Ingersoll Tire and Rubber Co. and following her stay with that organization, she was employed at the American Steel and Wire Co. She had been employed there for 22 years preceding her death. She was chief clerk in the cashier's office of the organization.
During the first World war she was a prominent worker in the American Farm Reserve. As secretary to Kenneth Ingersoll it was her responsibility to secure voluntary workers for the farms in the northern Ohio area.
She is survived by her husband, John Q. Adams; a sister, Mrs. Sabra Rudd; and a brother, Leo Kuster.
Following services in Lakewood, the body will be brought to Painesville for burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Graveside services will be held here late Saturday afternoon.
