Clara Lucyl Adkins, age 77, a longtime resident of Mora, NM, passed away on Saturday, June 27, 2015.
Clara was born in Mora, NM on May 24, 1938 to José C. Lucero and Loyola Romero Lucero.
Clara was a Catholic and a member of St. Gertrudes Catholic Church in Mora, NM.
Clara was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Adkins, daughter, Loyola Ann Adkins, son, Ernest Adkins II, parents, José C. and Loyola R. Lucero, sister, Consuelo Trujillo and nephew, Rodney Córdova.
Clara is survived by her sons, Patrick Adkins and his wife, Becky, Donnie Adkins and Michael Adkins and his wife, LaVonda, brother, Demetrio Lucero and his wife, Mary, sisters, Jolou Córdova and her companion, Jorge Soto, Sarah Córdova and her companion, Clarence Vigil, Vivian Wehrle and her husband, Carl and Imogene Lucero, nine grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Rosary services will be held on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Gertrudes Catholic Church in Mora, NM. Funeral Service will also be at St. Gertrudes Catholic Church on Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. with Father Paul Grala, SOLT as Celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Gertrudes Cemetery, Mora, NM. Serving as Casket Bearers will be Joseph Adkins, Donnie Adkins, Derek Adkins, James Adkins, Manuel Córdova, BJ Córdova, Adrian Lucero, Richard Trujillo, Isaac Trujillo and Jordan Sandoval. Serving as Honorary Bearers will be Demetrio Lucero, Tony Trujillo, Lucio Córdova, Amber Scarver and Clara Lou Adkins.
