Rosary will be recited at 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, June 23 by Deacon P. Louis Montoya and Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, June 24 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Clayton, New Mexico. Fr. Glenn Jones will be the Celebrant. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Parish Hall following funeral services. Burial procession will leave Clayton at 1:00 p.m. for Internment at the Ojo Bonito Cemetery on the Barney Ranch west of Clayton. Arrangements are by Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton.
Joyce A. Sanchez was born on October 8, 1941, in Capulin, New Mexico to Secundino Montoya and Elsie (Gonzales) Montoya. She grew up in Clayton and attended Clayton high school however she graduated from Santa Fe High school in 1960. Joyce married Max Sanchez on September 15, 1962 in Santa Fe, NM and moved back to Clayton to raise a family on the ranch west of town. Joyce enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Joyce was preceded in death by her father, Secundino Montoya.

Her husband of forty-seven years: Max Sanchez of Barney, New Mexico.
2 DAUGHTERS: Stephanie Sanchez (Dawn) of Austin, Texas and Dolores Marquez (Ken) of Alamosa, Colorado.
1 SON: Michael Sanchez (fiancé-Theresa Flores-Trujillo) of Mosquero, New Mexico.
6 GRANDCHILDREN: Samantha Sanchez of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Michaelena Garcia (Juan) of Clovis, New Mexico, Katina Sanchez of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Alexandria, Kendra and Garrett Marquez all of Alamosa, Colorado.
2 STEP-GRANDCHILDREN: Gabriel and Phillip Trujillo of Mosquero, New Mexico
2 GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN: Adian and Xavier Garcia of Clovis, New Mexico.
