Fred E. Bomar
Services for Fred E. Bomar of Saratoga, Wyo., will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at 16th and Pile Church of Christ. David Turbet will officiate.
Burial will follow at House Cemetery. Steed-Todd Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
Bomar died Friday, July 27, at Veteran's Administration Hospital, in Cheyene, Wyo. He was born May 3, 1924, in Silverton, Texas. He grew up and attended school in House. He served in the U.S. Navy in World War II from 1941 to 1945, seeing action in the Aleutian Islands and the South Pacific. After the war, he settled in Southern Wyoming where he ranched. He married Celia Butler July 28, 1950, in Laramie, Wyo.
He is survived by his wife, Celia, of the home; two daughters, Martha Perue, Saratoga, and Shirley Cartmill, Las Vegas, Nev.; four brothers, Robert, Lamar, Colo., Jack, Phoenix, Edd, Peoples Valley, Ariz., and Ted, Edgewood, texas. Four sisters, Aileen Skinner, and Joyce Lough, both of Clovis, Doris Dodd, Topeka, Kan., and Freida Swift, Amerillo, Texas; nine grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Virgil and Dick; and one sister, Jo Sue Johnson.
Casket bearers will be his grandsons and nephews.
