services for Mr. William Louis Alvarez, 65, of
Walter Street, will be held Friday, Aug. 29, 2003 at
11 a.m. in Upson Memorial Gardens with the Rev.
David Dawson officiating. Mr. Alvarez died Tuesday,
Aug. 26, 2003 at Upson Regional Medical Center.
Pasley-Fletcher Funeral Home is in charge of
arrangements. Mr. Alvarez, a native of San
Francisco, Calif., had lived in Thomaston for 13
years. HE SERVED IN THE U.S. AIR FORCE and was a
retired security guard. Mr. Alvarez was uncle,
great-uncle and great-great uncle to families across
the U.S.A. Survivors include his sisters, Gloria A.
Walker of Thomaston, Carmen Serafino of Oakdale,
Calif., Connie Stephens of Hayward, Calif., Mary
Simbra of Freemont, Calif., Julie Stephens of
Sacramento, Calif., Pat Diehl of San Diego, Calif.
and Rose Moyer of West Palm Beach, Fla.; a brother,
Joe Alvarez of Sacramento, Calif.; and nephews,
Jimmy Walker of Thomaston and Thomas Walker of
Dallas, Texas. Visitation will be held Thursday
evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home
