Funeral services for Andy J. Gammill, 73, whose death occurred Saturday, Jan. 1, 1938, in Tryon, were held at Tryon, Monday afternoon, 2:30 o'clock, the Rev. Wallace Linton officiating.
Interment was in Tryon cemetery under direction of Vincent Funeral home.
Andy J. Gammill was born in Peoria, Ill., in 1864, and was married in Guthrie in 1909 to Mary Gammill, who survives him. Mr. and Mrs. Gammill lived in Tryon for many years.
He was a retired farmer and was a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows lodge.
Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, LeRoy Gammill, of Tryon, and a daughter, Mrs. Lizzie Denny, who lives in Texas. One stepson, George Gammill, lives in Stillwater.
Other survivors include one brother, Ab Gammill, of Tryon; one sister, Mrs. Alice Culbertson, of Nebraska, and two grandchildren.
