Mr. Joe Allen Adams, age 49, of Route 3, Cedartown, passed away Monday. Mr. Adams was born Feb. 27, 1933 in Polk County and had lived most of his life in Polk County.
He was a member of The Union Grove Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Jo Anne Easterwood Adams of Cedartown; four sons, Will Adams, Perry Adams, Ricky Adams and Marvin Tanner, all of Cedartown; one daughter, Mrs. Tammy Casey of Buchanan, GA.; two sisters, Mrs. Clarence Barrett of Cedartown, Mrs. Joe Thomas of Rome, Ga.; three grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of the Lester C. Litesey Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Buttram, the Rev. R. B. Hulsey officiating. Military graveside services followed in Northview Cemetery. They were conducted by Brewster Cleveland Post No. 86. Pallbearers were Henry Miller, Jack Berry, Sonny Berry, Bill Lankford, James Wiggins, Bobby Ferguson. The Lester C. Litesey Funeral Home of Cedartown was in charge of arrangements.
