Joyce Williams Johnson, 73, of Jesup, Georgia died Saturday, September 5, 2015 at Golden Living Center under the care of Hospice of South Georgia. The Wayne County, Georgia native was a member of Unity Church of God. She was a former manager of Hardee’s in Jesup and Winn Dixie. She really enjoyed working and visiting people at her last job at Ray Thornton’s Carwash. She was predeceased by her husband, Rabbit Johnson; twin daughter and son, Joyce Marie and Jerry Robert Johnson; sisters, Elizabeth Jane “Lib” Davis, Gloria Ann Williams, Lee Tancredi; brothers, J.W. Williams, Ray Williams.
Survivors are daughters, Jennifer (Walker) Ogden of Odum, Georgia, Melody Yepez of Jesup, Georgia; sons, Robert (Sharon) Johnson of Auburn, Georgia, Buster Johnson of Odum, Georgia; 9 grandchildren, Brett and Charlotte Johnson, Stacey and Jason Busboom, Lou Ogden and fiancee’, Caitlin Whitfield, Drew and Ashley Ogden, Blake and Megan Ogden, Joshua William, Jeremy, Koty, Tristan Johnson; 12 great grandchildren; sisters, Trudy Brown and Cheryl Garvin both of Adams Run, South Carolina, Johnnie Bennett of Huger, South Carolina, Diane Evors of Jesup, Georgia; brothers, Charles Williams and Trevis Williams, both of North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; multitude of nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. George Moxley officiating. Interment will be in Moody Tillman Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be her grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be the Staff at Golden Living Center.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 11:00 prior to service at the funeral home.
