Funeral services for Mrs. Hattie Miller Akin, age 87,were held from Sinclair Baptist Church on Sept. 6. Burial followed im Baldwin Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Akin died on Sept 4, after an extended illness. She was a native of Houston County. She had lived in Silver Springs, Maryland for a number of years before moving to Milledgeville two years ago. She was a member of Mable White Baptist Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Lois Gardner of Milledgevile, Mrs. Mary Harris of San Diego, California, and Mrs. Laura Sanner of Naples, Florida; one son, Robert Akin of Milledgeville; one sister, Mrs. Pauline Harper of Milledgeville; one brother, Roy Miller Sr. of Macon; six grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
