Francis Marion Henson, son of Zachariah and Amala Williams Henson, was husband of Alice Jane Baker Henson. They may have divorced before 1910 as she is listed "divorced" in the 1910 census.

He was number seven of twelve children. He attended schools in the county and obtained an education that was common in those days. He lived on part of the old home place until his death in 1912. Francis was one of the prominent farmers of the county and held local offices, one being Assessor of Stone County. He was a native of Stone County, born on Flat Creek about a mile from the Barry County line, where he continued to live.
He died of a heart attack and drowning in Flat Creek, Barry Co., MO. His body was found covered with water, in a standing position, after his horse returned home without him. He was standing on his saddle.

Take Highway 73 to Cape Fair. The Cemetery is northwest, located on Farm Road 76-100 on a small hill near the new bridge at Flat Creek and Cane Bottom.
