Mary M. Acklie, 73, of Kahoka, MO died Tuesday, December 16, 2008 at the Keokuk Area Hospital, Keokuk, IA.
She was born on February 18, 1935 in Kahoka, MO the daughter of Walter and Wilma Kirchner Oschenbecker. She married Kenneth Acklie on July 25, 1953 in Kahoka, MO.
Mary graduated from the Kahoka High School with the Class of 1953.
She was employed by the Missouri Rural Crisis Center as a nurse for 10 years.
Mary was a member of the St. Paul United Church of Christ in Kahoka, MO.
She was active in the Clark County Democrats and was always very organized.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Acklie of Kahoka, MO, one son, Walter Acklie and his wife Brenda of Eldon, MO, two grandsons, Jared Acklie and Dustin Acklie and his wife Kim, one great grand-daughter, Ava Kathleen Acklie who was born on December 7, 2008.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents and one son Daniel Ivin Acklie.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Friday, at the St. Paul United Church of Christ in Kahoka, MO. Burial in the St. Paul Cemetery, Kahoka, MO.
