Elmer Amburgey, son of the late Blaine and Ida Adams Amburgey died on August 4, 1995 at his residnece. He was born at Isom on May 11 1944. Elmer was 53 years of age. Surviving are his wife Patricia Maggard Amburgey; one son, Wayne Amburgey of Cowan; one daughter, April of Cowan; two brothers, Warren Amburgey of Isom and Junior Amburgey of Live Oaks, FL; one sister, Evelyn Amburgey of Orlando, FL. Also surviving is one granddaughter, Miracle Maggard. Funeral services for Elmer Amburgey were conducted from the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel, Whitesburg, KY on Sunday, August 6, 1995 at 1:00 PM with Michael McNeely offficiating. Burial followed in the Amburgey Cemetery in Isom, KY with military services by the Whitesburg DAV. Letcher Funeral Home of Whitesburg was in charge of the arrangements.
