Elton B. "Billy Ray" Crosby Sr., 68, of Ovett, died Wednesday, May 3, 2006, at Guardian Angel Hospice in Raleigh.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, at Jones and Son Funeral Home in Moselle, with burial in Tiger Creek Cemetery in Ovett. The Rev. Randy Clark will officiate.
He was a diesel mechanic instructor and a United States Navy veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Maggie Crosby.
He is survived by five sons, Elton Burl Crosby Jr. of Monroe, La., Authur Gerald Crosby of Douglasville, Ga., Johnny Marcus Crosby of Princeton, La., Willie Ross Crosby of Winston, Ga., and Jerry Wayne Crosby of Villa Rica, Ga.; a brother, Arther Ray Crosby of Ovett; a sister, Floria "Ava Merle" Brewer; and 17 grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 5:30-9 p.m. today, at Jones and Son Funeral Home in Moselle, which is in charge of arrangements.
