WINSTON-SALEM Mrs. Eloise Virginia Hudspeth Baker, 91, died Monday night, February 14, 2011 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born April 16, 1919 in Forsyth County to Kenneth Calvin and Bertie Cleo Williams Hudspeth. She was a loving, caring mother and a homemaker. Mrs. Baker was the oldest living member of Crestwood Baptist Church. An 11 a.m. Funeral Service will be held Thursday, February 17, 2011 at Burroughs Chapel with Pastor Herb Mabe, of Union Tabernacle Church, who was a friend of the family, officiating. Burial will follow at Crestview Memorial Park in Rural Hall. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death her husband; Lewis Gene "Bud" Baker, Jr., grandson; Ricky Gene Cheek, one sister; and five brothers. She is survived by three children: Betty Wills of Raleigh, June Moore of Winston-Salem, Kathy Nelson and husband William Lee "Bill" of Tobaccoville; two grandchildren; Kristina Ingram and husband, Chris and William Mitchell Moore, Jr. The family will receive friends following the graveside service. Burroughs Funeral Home in Walnut Cove is serving the Baker family.
