Orville E. Bertram, 43, of East Hartford, loving husband of Audrey E. (Brown) Bertram, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday (May 24, 2009).
Born in Kingston, Jamaica on March 11, 1966, a son of Esther Gray of West Hartford and the late Gilmore Bertram, he had resided in East Hartford for the past 19 years.
Orville was employed by St. Francis Hospital in Hartford for the past 20 years, most recently as a Certified Nurses Assistant. Orville enjoyed listening to music, especially "Reggae", dancing, and cooking.
Along with his beloved wife of 16 years and his mother, Orville is survived by two daughters, Gillian Mullings and Lillian E. Bertram both of East Hartford; one granddaughter, Elaine C. Bertram of East Hartford; four brothers, Conrad Spencer of Hartford, Merrick Griffiths of Hartford, Nigel Nelson of West Hartford, Courtney James of East Hartford; three sisters, Andrea Cooper of East Hartford, Rachel Bertram of Jamaica, Mooney Bertram of Jamaica; many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2009 at 10 a.m. at The First Cathedral, 1151 Blue Hills Avenue, Bloomfield.
Burial will follow at Silver Lane Cemetery, East Hartford.
Relatives and friends may call at the D'ESOPO-East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford, on Wednesday, June 3, 2009 from 4-7 p.m.
