C. J. Adamson
Funeral was held Sunday afternoon at the Shawmut United Methodist Church for C. J. Adamson, 69, who was pronounced dead on arrival at George H. Lanier Memorial Hospital, Langdale, Friday afternoon of an apparent heart attack.
Services were conducted by the Rev. Woodrow Forsee, the Rev. Jack Neil, and the Rev. J. H. King. Burial was in the Shawmut Cemetery with Johnson-Brown Service Funeral Home, Langdale, in charge.
Mr. Admas was a native of Randolph County and had been a resident of Shawmut for the past 41 years. He was a member of the Shawmut United Methodist Church, the Shawmut Masonic Lodge and was retired employee of the Shawmut Mill.
Survivors include hiw wife, Mrs. Clara McQueen Adamson, Shawmut; a son, William Q. Adamson, Sumter, S. C.; brother James A. Adamson, Wadley; and four grandchildren.
