LAKEVIEW - Funeral services for Martin Anderson, 86, who died Thursday at Rogue Valley Memorial Hospital, Medford, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at First Lutheran Church, Lakeview.
The Rev. Robert Bjornstad will officiate.
Interment will be at the Fort Bidwell, Calif., Cemetery.
Anderson was born Feb. 19, 1896, in Bradstrup, Denmark. He moved to Plush in 1915, becoming a naturalized citizen of the United States June 7, 1918. He served with the U.S. armed forces during World War I, and except for that time, lived in Plush from 1915 until he became ill and moved to a nursing home in Lakeview.
He married Nellie Godfrey in August 1924. She died Sept. 21, 1975.
He was a member of the Lutheran Church in Denmark.
He is survived by a son, Roy, Plush; a brother, Age Anderson, Denmark; three sisters, Mattie Dagmar and Gerde, all of Denmark; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and a mumber of nieces and nephews in Denmark. Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by a son Richard, who died Aug. 23, 1975.
