Ralph Brown, age 72, passed away on a Thursday in a Sonora hospital after a long illness.

A native of Michigan, Ralph and his wife, Armilda, had lived in Columbia for his last five years.

Funeral services were held at the Burden Chapel Sunday, with the Reverend E. S. Bickford officiating.

The earliest positive record I have found thus far for Ralph Porter Brown is when he registered for the draft of WWI.

On September 12, 1918, Ralph registered for the World War I draft.
