Louis was born in Ypsilanti, Michigan on February 5, 1929 to Marion and Liva (Bullock) Arnold. The family moved to Curran, MI when Louis was 7. He graduated from Fairview High School in 1947.
Louis married Lorraine Stortz on June 23, 1949. He worked in the Muskegon and Grand Rapids area until 1953, then moved back to Oscoda County; working first for Brooks Wood Products in Mio, then for the Oscoda County Road Commission as a heavy equipment operator until retiring in 1985 after 30 years. Louis had been a member of Comins Mennonite Church.
Surviving is his wife Lorraine.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 4 half-sisters and 2 half-brothers.
Visitation 4:00 - 9:00 PM on Monday, April 14, 2014 at Lashley Funeral Home, Mio, MI, and from 10:00 AM, Tuesday, April 15, 2014 until the time of Funeral Services at 11:00 AM with Pastor Marvin Troyer officiating. Interment at Fairview Cemetery, Fairview, MI.
