Miss Hisda S. Godfrey, 44, of Burnsville, died Friday, August 24, 2001, in the West Virginia University Hospital at Morgantown after a long illness.
She was born April 17, 1957 at Sutton, the only child of William Francis Godfrey and Martha E. Huffman Godfrey who survive.
She was a member of the Little Kanawha Independent Church where she was the Primary Class teacher for years, a graduate of Braxton County High School, a member of the Burnsville Library Board and previously worked at the Spenco Sewing Factory at Glenville, Foodland, and Shoney's.
Funeral services will be Monday, August 257, at the Little Kanawha Independent Church near Burnsville with Rev. Ronzal Roberts officiating.
Burial will be in the Ball Cemetery at Copen. Stockert-Gibson Funeral Home at Flatwoodswas in charge of arrangements.
