Alger M Holt passed away Aug. 4, 2005 at the age of 83.
Funeral services will be at Piedmont Presbyterian Church at 2:00 P.M. Sunday Aug. 7, 2005.
Officiating: Rev. Morris Fleischer and Rev. Maurice Wright.
He was preceded in death by his wife: Muriel Meador Holt and his parents: Dewey and Betsy Holt.
Surviving, Children, Jonny Holt, Jane & husband Bobby Williams.
Marshall & wife Brenda Holt, Joanne & husband Marshall McNeil, Joyce Anderson & friend Paul Phillips.
Charles Holt and wife Vicky, Susan & husband Wyatt Wimmer, Libby & husband Anthony Wimmer, Henry Holt & Wife April.
Alger was self employed several years as a farmer and ran a saw mill.
Alger served 4 years in the U.S. Army during WWII. He served under General George Patton. He latter severed over 17 years in the USAR, Army Reserves, he was in The 80 Div. Tng. Cmd. for several years, he was a member of The 80th Div. Rifle team. Alger was a dedicated family man, and a faithful soldier of The U.S. Army.
