Another reports indicates he was killed by a "log saw" instantly, near Woodfords, "early last Tuesday morning"; he was 21 years old and was from "Argentine Co. Canada" (Monitor Argus of Sept 11, 1882).
NOTE: Not absolutely certain he is buried in Markleeville, although the Tucson report indicates he was a Markleeville resident; it is also possible that he could have been buried at the Merrill cemetery in Woodfords.
