In 1932, she married Kenneth Jillson, who died in 1933. In 1937, she married George Carter, with whom she had three daughters, and then in 1966, she married Wilburn Dunn.
She was an active member of the Falmouth Congregational Church and enjoyed needle work and was also an accomplished seamstress. She also enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, the Cumberland Fair, and she walked every day until she was 92.
In addition to her three daughters, she was survived by three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
