Bob Jenkins was born on October 1, 1927, in Harper Hospital, Detroit, MI. He died on June 8, 2007, after a month-long battle with pneumonia in Botsford Hospital, Farmington, MI. He was preceded in death by: his parents Alexander Anderson Jenkins; father, Lillian (White) Jenkins; mother, Gertrude (Steffen) Jenkins; stepmother, and his wife, Patricia Janelle (Day) Jenkins. Surviving are: Thomas A.; a son, Barbara (Byrne) Jenkins; daughter-in-law, two grandchildren Andrew T. Jenkins and Elizabeth A. Jenkins, a sister-in-law, Elizabeth B. Day, a nephew, Richard Day, and a niece, Carolyn B. (Day) Armstrong. Mr. Jenkins was a 1954 graduate of the University of Michigan Law School. He practiced law in Detroit from 1954 to 1977. In 1977 he moved to North Carolina to become a professor of law at Campbell University School of Law. He retired teaching at Campbell in early 1999 but later that year he returned to teaching at the Jones School of Law in Montgomery, AL where he taught until 2005.
