Tressie I. Alexander, 74, of Russellville, died Saturday evening at North Alabama Hospital following an extended illness.
She was a native of Barnsville, Ga. and was a member of North Russellville Baptist Church.
Services were held Monday afternoon from North Russellville Baptist Church with the Rev. Charlie Thorn officiating.
Burial followed in the Knights of Pythia Cemetery with Spry Funeral Home of Russellville directing.
Survivors include her husband, Leroy C. Alexander; two step-sons, Roy E. Alexander of Eastpoint, Ga. and George C. Alexander of Southbend, Ind.; her step-mother, Claudie Irvin of Barnsville, Ga.; one sister, Fannie Lou Cothren of Seffner, Fla.; three half-sisters, Letha Lloyd, Betty Goddard and Joyce Irvin, all of Barnsville, Ga.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
