Lorah May Tyler was born April 12,1874,in Cass County,the oldest daughter of Andros and Susan Tyler,and passed away at the home of grandson in Huntington,Indiana ,July 22, at the age of 73 years,3 months and 10 days
She lived in Cass County until after her marriage to Sam Himmelwright.They then moved to Hamilton topnship and to this union were born three sons and four daughters.
In 1925 she was married to Fred Westerhoff of Grand Haven Michigan.she lived there several years Before returning to Decatur,where she did practical nursing until her health forced her to and easier life.
To mourn her passing she leaves her daughters Mrs Ivan Steen of Pontiac Michigan, Mrs Gertrude Kroeg and Mrs Mabel Young of Decatur,her sons Edward Himmelwright of Glen Ellyn,Ill.Earl Himmelwright of the Hawaiian Islands. The other son Albert,preceded her in death. She also leaves four sisters,two brothers,grandchildren,great-grand-children and a host of other friends and relatives.
The funeral services were held at The Newell and Sons funeral home Friday, July 25,1947,at 2 p.m. Rev. Gerald Jacobs officiated and burial was in Hamilton cemetery.
