She was born in Grantsville, the daughter of the late Bailey G. and Jessie Stalnaker Stump.
She was a graduate of Glenville State College and was a retired teacher with 20 years of experience in Calhoun County. She was a life member of West Virginia Association of Retired School Employees, member of Alpha Delta Kappa Sorority, charter member of Phoebe Cunningham Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution, 50-year member of Order of Eastern Star, Chapter 73, Grantsville, where she had served as Past Worthy Matron, and member of Louisa Chapel United Methodist Church, Arnoldsburg.
Surviving are one son, Vere Brannon and wife Susie of Arnoldsburg; two daughters, Doris Davis and husband Bradley of Harrisville and Juanita Berdine and husband Robert of Arnoldsburg; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Victor C. Brannon, in 1980, and one daughter, Dorthy Hayhurst.
Services were held at Stump Funeral Home, Arnoldsburg, with Rev. William Morrison officiating. Burial was in Brannon Cemetery, Arnoldsburg.
